The Pilates Place proudly offers instruction in the true method of Pilates as developed, practiced and taught by Joseph Pilates himself. After his death in 1967, his protege Romana Kryzanowska, PIlates' hand-picked successor, carries on the teachings of the True Pilates method.
Julee Jones, your instructor at The Pilates Place, was approved as a certified teacher personally by Romana after completing a rigorous 700 hour training and certification program through the New York Pilates Studio. Julee and has been teaching since October of 2001.
Julee is committed to changing lives through personalized teaching of the True Pilates method. You will be led through your exercise routine safely and your session will focus on the specific needs of your body.
Julee was personally certified by Suzanne Bowen, creator of BarreAmped, in March of 2011 to teach the BarreAmped Method of barre technique. After reviewing several of the barre modalities offered in the marketplace, Julee chose BarreAmped because of its precision of utilizing the core as a basis when doing the exercises. Julee brings her 10 year Pilates teaching background to her Barre classes which are taught safely with attention to modifying the exercises for those individuals with knee and⁄or hip⁄joint issues.

Kathy Caudill

Kathy grew up active in many sports including softball, basketball and cheerleading. She is also an active runner, completing her first marathon in Chicago in 2009. She has tried all sorts of workout regimes and classes from karate to kickboxing and cardio dance but didn’t find her true passion until taking her first BarreAmped class in January 2010. She has trained extensively under the supervision of Suzanne Bowen (founder and creator of BarreAmped). Now a BarreAmped Certified Instructor, Kathy teaches BarreAmped and BarreAmped Boot Camp. She loves everything this method has brought to her life and continuously works to improve her skill. She is looking forward to meeting you and helping you to reach your fitness goals. Kathy studied Business at Baker College in Michigan.

Karen’s love of dance and fitness has been a lifelong endeavor. Classically trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern dance from the pre-school years through her college career, she has a true love of form and fluid movement. Later years found her fully committed to daily disciplines of aerobics and weight training to maintain a healthy and vibrant lifestyle. Karen is blessed to be a breast cancer survivor since 2008, and is actively involved in sharing her journey of survivorship with others through the Vanderbilt Hope Connection Program. “It is an honor to work with these courageous women, and assist them in their journey of healing and recovery…there is nothing more beautiful than a woman who’s spirit has risen above the life altering event of a cancer diagnosis….” Karen and her husband Jeff, and their two sons Jared and Jayce, reside in Brentwood, TN. She is certified in the Barre Amped Method and is studying to receive her Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor certification through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).

Amanda.Wentworth.
Amanda Wentworth, E-RYT 500, has created a life of studying movement arts. Her evolution began with varied disciplines through gymnastics, modern dance, and capoiera, yet her present focus revolves completely on the philosophy of yoga. She received her 1,000-hour Hatha certification with Iyengar instructors Betty Larson and John Charping at the Southern Institute of Yoga Instructors.

In 2004 she moved to NYC to further her studies and trained in Katonah Yoga with Elizabeth Andes-Bell. Her explorations in Katonah Yoga, a method steeped in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoism, opened the physical structure of the practice, exposing energetic harmony between one’s body and the surrounding natural world. A two-month journey through India in 2009 allowed her to thrive, enriching her practice and deepening her teaching intentions.
Amanda is currently director and co-teacher of the Teacher Training program at Om Factory Yoga Center in New York City, a 200-hour Hatha Vinyasa registered school. She actively teaches classes, workshops, and retreats to students of all levels imparting the balance of power and peace in the practice. Recent retreats to India, Mexico, and Italy have spread her therapeutic and compassionate touch worldwide. Amanda’s love for humanity blends with the energetic flow of nature to create a yoga experience both personal and present in our ever-evolving world.
